Does my data ever get sent anywhere?

Only where you choose. On your device or practice server, data stays inside your practice. Work sent to DuraCloud is processed in Switzerland by vetted providers compliant with Swiss DPA and GDPR, never by a public AI service. With Lockdown Mode on, no AI processing leaves your practice.

What do I need to use Lockdown Mode?

On a Mac, turn it on in the app’s settings. AI tasks then run on the Mac itself, which needs Apple Silicon, the local AI models and at least 48 GB RAM. On Windows, or to take the load off your Mac, you need a DuraEdge practice server that enforces Lockdown Mode. Literature search is not available in Lockdown Mode; encrypted deliveries from your phone continue.

Which computers does DuraEdgeAI work on?

DuraEdgeAI runs on Mac (macOS 26 or later) and Windows 11 with at least 8 GB RAM and a stable internet connection. Apple Silicon Macs with more memory run more work on-device.

Does it need internet connection?

For DuraCloud, yes. Work your device or practice server can handle runs without the cloud, and Lockdown Mode keeps all AI processing inside your practice. DuraCloud, updates and license checks need a connection.

Is it GDPR compliant?

Yes, DuraEdgeAI is compliant by design with both GDPR and Swiss FADP. Data stays on your device, your practice server or in Switzerland, and Lockdown Mode keeps all AI processing inside your practice.

What languages are supported?
